Success. I think we become successful by adding value to others. And how we do that, along with the scale and scope of our reach, matters. Each of us gets to define what success means for ourselves. It may or may not include the specific size of your bank account, position title or the number of fans and followers. However, I think our ability to reach and have an impact with more people gets reflected in our success. And that is a good thing!
If you’re like me, you’re not interested in settling. And mediocrity scares me, because I KNOW there is an abundance of life and opportunity within us and around us. People can do amazing things when we put our mind to it! If I’m in a mediocre space that means I’ve stopped growing.
The question “What would you do if you knew you could not fail?” is one of my favorites. And the answer points to the person I need to become in order to do that thing.
Don’t limit yourself based on the past or a current challenge you have. Just because you haven’t achieved something up until now doesn’t mean it is not possible. I decided that if I don’t accomplish something I set out to do it will NOT be because I didn’t try or do my best.
It is not selfish to want more, to want great, to want magnificent.
I think a lot of women in their “taking care of others” role often find themselves at the bottom of the priority list. When we’re so busy attending to day-to-day demands and putting life on autopilot to handle it all, we run the risk of not remembering where we want to go, what we want, how we want it and what is most important. Talking about goals and dreams can almost seem irrelevant. Yet when we recognize that we’re making choices on a daily basis that takes us into our future, it’s not! Life is happening anyway, why not do what we can to shape it?
Don’t be afraid to say what you want and GO FOR IT! Let’s awaken our certainty, confidence and courage and go after the bold. Explore the places along our edge where we know our “more” is waiting.
